Windswept Winery new NewsCow sponsor

NewsCow.net is pleased to announce Udall’s Windswept Winery has joined its team of major sponsors. Windswept will be NewsCow’s Top Stories sponsor.

Randy Storey and wife, Rebecca, opened the winery more than two years ago and produce a wide variety of estate wines. Free tastings are available everyday of the week from 1 p.m to 7 p.m.

“Windswept Winery not only adds to the variety of leisure activities available in Cowley County, it’s an attractive destination for visitors to our county looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon,” Shane Farley, NewsCow co-founder, said. “We know our site can help even more people discover what the winery has to offer and are grateful to Randy and Rebecca for their support.”

Windswept’s wines are made entirely from grapes grown at the Storey Vineyards, which surround the winery, giftshop and conference hall. An apple wine produced at the winery is made with fruit purchased from a Cowley County orchard.

In September, Windswept Winery won the silver medal people’s choice award at the Kansas State Fair for their Whispering Wind White ? a sweeter dessert-type wine.

The winery is located about 2 miles west of Cowley 3 just south of Udall. A vintage truck parked in a field along Cowley 3 directs drivers to the facility.

The Storeys offer catering services for weddings, Christmas parties and other special events. You can contact them at (620) 782-3952.
