An Arkansas City woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident Sunday on 41st Road, according to a Cowley County Sheriff’s Office report.
Darla K. Denton, 40, was taken by ambulance to an Ark City hospital for treatment, the report said. The accident occurred just before 9 p.m. near 172nd Road.
According to the report, Denton was traveling south on 41st Road when her 2004 Saturn 4-door left the roadway, striking a telephone pole on the east side of the road. Denton’s vehicle came to rest facing north on the west side of the road.
Damages to the vehicle were estimated at over $1,000.
