Community Health Forum is set for April 17

Information on a variety of health topics will be available at a community forum scheduled to take place in Winfield next month. The event is free and open to the public.

The City-Cowley County Health Department and the Kansas Public Health Association will host the community health forum from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. April 17 in the assembly room of the William Newton Hospital Physician’s Pavilion, 1230 E. Sixth.

Topics will include health reform issues before the Kansas Legislature, as well as preparedness efforts for pandemic flu. Information about the nationwide Get Ready campaign and how individuals, families and organizations can plan for emergencies will also be available.

The forum will conclude with a brief question and answer session.
