Arkansas City police have arrested three suspects in connection with a recent string of school burglaries.
Brian Winters, 19, and Issac Hutchinson, 19, both of Ark City, were arrested on three counts each of burglary, theft and criminal damage to property. Their bond is set at $17,000 each.
The arrests were made following an investigation of burglaries at Adams Elementary, Francis Willard Elementary and Jefferson Elementary. Some time from May 9 to May 11, someone broke into the schools and stole items including money and electronic items.
A third and final suspect was apprehended Friday.
Charles Owen, 20, of Ark City was arrested and charged with one count of burglary, and one count of felony theft. His Bond is $5,000.00.
All of the property taken has been recovered, according to Police Chief Sean Wallace.
