Farmer’s Market opens in Winfield Saturday

The Walnut Valley Farmer’s Market will begin its 12th year at 7:30 a.m. Saturday and will continue each Saturday through Sept. 20. It will be open until 11 a.m. or sell-out and will be cancelled only in the event of inclement weather.

The market will be at a new location this year – the Island Park entrance parking lot. Dolly and Dick Bonfy are the new market managers and Wilma Roady has volunteered to be the market treasurer. Jeff Wacker designed the website.

Vendors include A & B Crafts, Bonfy Gardens, V&V Crafts, Designs by Stacy, Betty’s Jam & Jelly, Fairway Catering, Wilma’s Veggies, etc., Smith’s Pecan Treats, Dutchman Repair, Squeakytoyfarm, and Grandma & Girls Homemade Goods.

Homemade arts and crafts, fresh produce, herbs, flowers, jams, baked goods, jewelry, pecans, knife sharpening and leatherwork, quilts and baby items and homemade candy will be offered.
