Oklahoma men arrested for drug violations

A tip on a possible drunk driver led to the arrest of an 18-year-old Bartlesville, Okla., man Monday night for possession of marijuana and drug use paraphernalia, according to Winfield Police Chief Jerry DeVore. A 17-year-old from the same area was arrested on the same charges and for obstructing justice.

Joshua Wier was booked into the county jail. The juvenile was released to county juvenile officials.

The citizen tip was received about 11 p.m. when the vehicle was entering Winfield from the north. After searching for the vehicle, it was eventually located in the south alley of the 900 block of E. Ninth Avenue. Marijuana was located so officers got a search warrant and found the paraphernalia.
