Chester Edmond Logue Jr., 45, Arkansas City, was arrested early Saturday morning after police caught him burglarizing a garage in the 1400 block of S. K Street, Ark City Police Chief Sean Wallace said.
A resident called police about 4 a.m. to say her dogs were barking and her garage door open. Logue saw police, grabbed several items and attempted to leave. Officers followed.
Then Logue dropped his loot and began to run from officers. A taser was used to take Logue into custody. While searching Logue, a bag of marijuana and Zig Zag rolling papers were found.
The property taken from the garage was returned to the owner, according to Wallace.
