An embargo on wheat harvested from five Cowley County fields has been lifted, according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture.
A precautionary hold was in place while residue testing was conducted on the effected grain. The embargo was officially removed late Wednesday after testing found there was no cause for concern.
It was the first embargo issued by the state since 2001.
