Cowley County commissioners will meet in regular session at 7 p.m. Tuesday on the first floor assembly room at the County Courthouse in Winfield and in special session at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Arkansas City Senior Center, 320 S. A Street. Both meetings are open to the public.
Only one item appears on Tuesday’s agenda – the presentation of Cowley County Developmental Services’ 2009 budget request.
The request involves funding for four agencies that provide services for the developmentally disabled. CCDS acts as the gatekeeper for people wanting services in the county.
Wednesday’s special meeting involves a work session with Ark City and Winfield’s governing bodies to discuss the future of economic development efforts in the county.
County offices will be closed Friday for the 4th of July.
