A Wichita man charged with attempted first degree murder has been transferred from the Cowley County jail to the Larned State Hospital to be evaluated.
Robert L. White, 26, is accused of intentionally and with premeditation trying to kill Aaron Brown, 26 at the Jump Start convenience store in Winfield last October.
Nearly two dozen shots were fired following a verbal altercation at the store. Brown was struck by one of the bullets.
It’s unknown how long White will be at Larned but District Judge Nick St.Peter has scheduled the case for review Oct. 3.
