Five Arkansas City businesses were burglarized overnight, Ark City Police Chief Sean Wallace confirmed Thursday morning.
The businesses are located in the north part of town. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken, he said.
"We’re just finishing up. We have five different (crime) scenes," Wallace said.
Police investigators were meeting at 11:30 a.m. to share information collected at the crime scenes and to decide how to proceed with the investigations. Wallace did not release the names of the businesses this morning.
A sixth business on the edge of Ark City – Skyline Corp. – was also burglarized. The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating because the business is outside the city limits.
