A suspect in the Home National Bank robbery in Arkansas City last Thursday was picked up by the FBI in Wichita Friday for parole violation. The man was on parole for bank robbery.
Federal investigators tried to talk to him about the robbery when he was taken in custody but he made no statements, Arkansas City Police Lt. Jeff Moore said.
The man’s name has not been released because he has not been charged with anything but parole violation. The U.S. Attorney’s Office is deciding whether their agency will take the case or if it will be prosecuted in Cowley County District Court.
More information will be released but only when the release will not jeopardize the investigation, Moore said.
