Winfield Police and local school officials are investigating a bomb threat made at the high school this morning, a school spokesperson said.
High school and middle school students have been evacuated from the area but school is expected to resume once a search is completed. It’s not know how long the process might take.
Around 11 a.m. law enforcement announced that students were returning to the school from Stewart Fieldhouse.
An interior search has been completed at both schools.
This marks the second time this school year that a bomb threat has emptied the two schools, which are adjoined.
