An Arkansas City man was arrested Sunday evening after allegedly threatening to kill his infant child with cleaning chemicals, police said.
The child’s mother contacted police who later interviewed the father,?Milton Squires, 1200 block of S. H Street.
"Through the investigation, it was found that (Squires) had full intentions of killing the infant child by poisoning, but never acted upon the threats,"? Police Capt. Tom Scott said.
Squires was jailed for criminal threat. He is awaiting a mental evaluation. Bond is $4,000.
