Jorge Recinos-Rivas, 42, of Arkansas City, has been arrested for the alleged rape and aggravated indecent liberties with his 6-year-old step-daughter, Ark City Police Chief Sean Wallace said.
The Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services received a report Oct. 24. Investigators believe the victim was raped by the suspect at two locations.
Recinos-Rivas was booked into the county jail. He remained in jail Monday morning in lieu of posting $12,500 bond. Formal charges have not yet been filed by the Cowley County Attorney’s Office.
