The Salvation Army in Cowley County needs help this holiday season, and Union State Bank is teaming up with the Ark City and Winfield Chambers of Commerce to make that help possible.
Each Chamber of Commerce will host their regularly scheduled Coffee gatherings Thursday.
Cumbernauld Village will host the Winfield Christmas Chamber Coffee at 9:30 a.m. and Brick’s Restaurant will host the Ark City Chamber Coffee at 10 a.m.
To boost attendance and raise awareness of the Salvation Army’s needs, Union State Bank is pledging a $10 cash donation to the Salvation Army for every person that attends the a chamber coffee in either location.
"The Salvation Army performs a vital role in our community," explained USB’s Bill Docking. "This year especially, we’d like to remind folks that the Salvation Army is especially busy in tough times. We encourage people to enjoy some fellowship, have a little coffee, and help out a great organization."
