A 15-year-old Winfield girl has been sentenced to one year probation for her role in a fire that destroyed the Island Park playground Oct. 27.
Christie Chaisson admitted she obstructed justice. A second count alleging disorderly conduct was dismissed.
Bret Martinez, 17, also of Winfield, pleaded guilty to obstructing justice. He was placed on probation for one year with Cowley County Community Corrections.
Arraignment has been set for 3 p.m. Jan. 21 for Zachary Buhlke, 17, who is charged with arson, a level 7 felony. In a felony case, the defendant is brought before the court to answer to a criminal charge after a finding of probable cause. Buhlke is also from Winfield.
