State Rep. Kasha Kelley, R-Arkansas City, will be the featured speaker at Cowley College’s 86th Commencement exercises held at 10 a.m. Saturday inside W.S. Scott Auditorium.
Kelley serves as the CEO of First Intermark Corp. in Ark City, and is a third-term member of the Kansas House of Representatives where she serves on the appropriations committee and is a vice chair of the general government budget committee.
Before her service in the house of representatives, she was involved in radio and television news reporting. She also served as a book editor for a Lawrence based writer and as a publicity manager for a Colorado publishing Company.
She attended Arkansas City High School and later graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcast Journalism.
