A female passenger was taken by air ambulance to a Wichita hospital following a two-car collision northwest of Winfield Saturday, according to an officer at the scene.
The woman, whose name has yet to be released, was in critical condition at the scene. A male driver in the same vehicle, a Dodge Neon, was also taken to a Wichita hospital. He also was believed to be in critical condition.
The accident occurred at the intersection of 142nd Rd. and 51st Rd. A black Ford F-150 was eastbound bound on 142nd when it collided with the Neon, which was travelling southbound on 51st Rd. A driver and passenger in the Ford truck were not injured.
A child involved in the accident was taken to a Wichita hospital, though the child’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
