Horn enters a plea deal in Babi’s Petro case

Michael Horn has reached a plea agreement on charges connected to the attempted robbery of Babi’s Petro Shop last summer, Cowley County Attorney Chris Smith said Tuesday.

Horn’s trial on an attempted robbery charge was to begin this week but instead he as accepted one count each of aggravated assault and obstructing the legal process. Witnesses said Horn, 19, entered Babi’s on E. Ninth with a gun and attempted to rob the store.

He fled on foot and an hours-long search ensued. Horn turned himself in to authorities the next day.

Horn ? who was also convicted on charges related to the robbery of the Ark City Country Mart ? is facing about three years in prison, Smith said.
