Several students were cited for drinking underage after Ark City police helped bust up a drinking party at the Kirkdale dorms at Cowley College Sunday.
Security personnel at the college received a complaint of loud music and called police for assistance. Officers arrived and found a number of students in a common area on the dorm’s second floor.
Alcohol was discovered in a hallway area and also in the common area where students had gathered. During the investigation, a number of students were questioned in regard to underage drinking, according to a written statement from police.
Rama Peroo, a spokesperson for the college, said the school is leaving the investigation to police and would have no immediate comment. He did say that the list of those cited by police contained names of student athletes at the college.
The following students were cited for minor in consumption of alcohol and later released: Julio Rosario, 19, Perth Amboy, N.J., Terrell Beard, 18, Ark City, Tyler Patterson, 20, Ark City, Ivenns Martinez, 20, Ark City, Marcus Damas, 19, Bayshore, N. Y., Charles Fall, 20, New York, N.Y., Jordan Lankster, 19, Tulsa, Okla., Richard Glasser, 20, Tuttle, Okla., Jasmine Reed, 18, Wichita, Jasamyae Saunders, 20, Olathe, Brent Schuck, 20, of Manhattan, and Kalub Long, 18, Kansas City, Kan.?
