Pamela Sue Peak

Pamela Sue "Pam" Peak, 63, of Udall, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at her home.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 17, at 10 a.m. at the Udall Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. The family will greet visitors during this time.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Peak’s name for SIDS Foundation. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Born July 10, 1946 in Wellington, she was the daughter of Willis and Verna (Lawless) Olinger. She was reared and educated in Wellington and Udall, graduating from Udall High School in 1964.

Pam was united in marriage to Richard Glen Peak, Sr. on August 23, 1968 in Juarez, Mexico. The couple made their home in Udall. Pam made her career as a homemaker, taking care of her family.

She is survived by her husband, Richard, of the home; her children, Shawn Johnson, Udall; Shannon Cooley, Udall; Shane Lichti and husband, Pat, of Hutchinson; Shandra Tharp and husband, Chad, Udall; Richard Peak, Jr. and wife, Barbara, Udall; Paige Lofland and husband, Jerry, Great Bend; Dan Peak and wife, Sandy, Huron; and Doug Peak, Huron; her brothers, David Olinger, Wichita, and Gary McWilliams, Grand Island, Neb.; her sisters, Darlene Davis, Derby, Joy Hampsher, Topeka, and Jeanie Jones, El Dorado; her grandchildren, Christopher, Megan, Kriston, Cole, Nick, Aricka, Mackenzie, Zachary, Samantha, Kierston, Elizabeth, Sarah, Avery, Erick, Lindsey, April, Michaela, Mckenna, Amanda, Cassey, Colton and Travis; and her three great-grandchildren.

Pam was preceded in death by her mother, Verna Olinger, her father, Willis Olinger, and her granddaughter, Kelsey Cooley.
