Ann was born October 10, 1950, to Francis E. and Charlene (King) Lacy, in Winfield. She was reared in Winfield and graduated from Winfield High School in 1968. She attended Cowley College in Arkansas City and Okmulgee College in Oklahoma.

She married Mark L. Fry on March 6, 1971, in Denver, Colo., where they made their home for the next three and a half years.

They moved back to Winfield in 1975 where they raised two wonderful daughters. Her husband is the pastor of Calvary Chapel of Arkansas City, so along with being a mother, she was a pastor’s wife for over 30 years.
Ann worked for several years as the manager of Bryant’s Collectables and was also a sales representative for Silpada Jewelry.

Ann was diagnosed with ALS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease, in June 2008 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City and faithfully battled the disease for almost two years. Even though she lost her voice and her ability to eat because of the disease, she still glorified God by her countenance and wonderful smile. She loved her church family and was blessed by their love and expressions of care for her.

Ann is survived by: her husband, Mark, of the home; her daughters, Lisa, and husband Robert Holland, Ark City, and Kara and husband Jeff Trujillo, Lebanon, Mo.; her sister, Karen, and husband Butch Boatman, Dexter; three grandchildren, Tanner Holland, Alex Trujillo and Jenna Trujillo; several nephews, nieces and cousins, and countless of family of Christ who span the globe. She was proceeded in death by her parents.

Memorials have been established with the ALS Association of Kansas and Calvary Chapel of Arkansas City. Donations may be made at the funeral home.
