Kenny Andes

Kenny Lee Andes, 51, of Winfield, Kan., passed away Monday afternoon, May 31, 2010, at Wesley Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 4, at 2 p.m. at Grandview United Methodist Church, north of Winfield. Interment will follow at Wilmot Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Thursday evening from 5 to 9 p.m. The family will greet visitors from 5 to 7 that evening.

A memorial has been established in Kenny’s name for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for Multiple Myeloma Research. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Born May 1, 1959, in Winfield, he was the son of Willis F. and Janiece (Ruggles) Andes. He was raised and received his education in Winfield.

Kenny was united in marriage to Renee Davis on April 11, 1981, in Arkansas City. The couple made their home in Winfield. Kenny worked for Morton Building for over 29 years.

He attended Grandview United Methodist Church. He loved coyote hunting, fishing and watching the PBR every weekend. When he was younger, Kenny enjoyed roping calves and competing at rodeos at the Winfield Fair.

He is survived by: his wife, Renee Andes, of the home; his daughter, Ashley Andes, and his son, Jacob Andes, both of the home; his brothers, Kody Andes and wife, Deanna, Winfield; Klay Andes and wife, Dawn, Winfield; and Lin Andes and wife, Heather, Arkansas City; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leo and Marilyn Meadows, Winfield.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Janiece, his son, James Willis "J.W." on April 9, 2006, and his sister, Kamala Kay.
