JUNE 11

Deputies:

participated with Winfield Police officers, Ark City Police officers, KBI agents, ABC agents and Kansas Highway Patrol troopers in the execution of drug search warrants and arrested of persons charged with drug violations in culmination of an illegal drug investigation conducted by the Cowley County Drug Task Force.

were dispatched to the 9000 block of 284th Rd for a dog problem.

were requested by Kay County Sheriff’s deputies to assist in attempting to locate two suspects who had fled when surprised by deputies in the process of stealing copper wire from a radio tower in Kay County southeast of Silverdale.

were dispatched to check a hitchhiker in the 12200 block of US 77.

were dispatched to a dog bite complaint in the 10000 block of 286th Rd.

were dispatched to check for a cow on the road in the vicinity of 101st and 11th Rd.

took a report for the theft or loss of a license tag off of a Wells Built Trucking truck.

responded with Winfield Emergency Medical Services to an accidental overdose in the 4000 block of S Pike Rd.

were contacted regarding a civil issue involving the separation of property in a domestic relationship.

checked and assisted a pedestrian at US 77 and N Summit.

checked an abandoned vehicle in the 7000 block of US 77.

were dispatched to a possible domestic disturbance alongside the highway at 21st Rd and US 160.

transported a prisoner to the county jail for the Ark City Police Department.

were dispatched to check a goat on the roadway in the 32000 block of US 77.

were dispatched to the 33000 block of 61st Rd regarding a found 3-year-old child.

were dispatched to telephone harassment complaints in the 21000 block of 172nd Rd and the 31000 block of 61st Rd.

JUNE 12

Deputies:

were dispatched to a juvenile runaway report in the 14000 block of Third Dr.

were dispatched to a two-vehicle injury accident at US 160 and 211th Rd.

were dispatched to a report that a vehicle had struck a fence in the 5000 block of K-15. A Wichita resident was cited for transporting an open container.

were called to the Ark City Police Department to take a telephone harassment complaint from a county resident.

were contacted by a county resident regarding the separation of domestic property.

were dispatched to Atlanta regarding a loose horse.

were contacted regarding a delayed report of a non-injury car/cow accident in the 8000 block of 151st Rd.

assisted Burden Police officers check the Central High School upon the discovery of several open doors.

were dispatched to check a possible drunk driver in the 28000 block of US 77.

were dispatched to assist the Ark City Police officers with a disturbance in the 1000 block of S Summit.

JUNE 13

Deputies:

assisted Winfield Police officers with a fight in the parking lot at the American Legion.

were dispatched to the 6000 block of Maitland regarding a telephone harassment complaint.

arrested Cameron Cassiday, Winfield, on a drug violation warrant.

checked and assisted a pedestrian in the 3000 block of 202nd Rd.

transported a prisoner to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.

were dispatched to a burglary report in the 31000 block of US 77.

assisted Kansas Highway Patrol troopers with a one car roll-over accident at 312th Rd and US 77.

were dispatched to a car/deer non-injury accident at 337th Rd and US 166.

assisted Winfield Police officers by attempting to contact a resident of Rock who had been involved in an accident in Winfield.

were dispatched to the 2800 block of W Seventh, Winfield, to check some possible stolen property.

were dispatched to the 5700 block of 286th Rd regarding juveniles that had captured a raccoon.

were dispatched to the 21000 block of US 166 to check for cattle out.

were dispatched to the 3300 block of Tower Rd regarding a dirt bike being ridden on the public roads.

were dispatched to the Cowley 8 Cinema regarding suspicious activity in the parking lot.

discovered and removed tree debris from the road in the 1500 block of N 23rd, Ark City.

JUNE 14

Deputies:

discovered a horse out in Atlanta.

were dispatched to the report of a cow out along the highway in the 22000 block of K-15.

checked a pedestrian walking on US 160 in Burden.

took a report from The Space Center Mini Storage, Ark City, about hit and run damage to the fence surrounding the facility and damage to the door on one of the storage unit.

were dispatched to the report of a cow out near the Wilmot Cemetery in the 7000 block of 151st Rd.

were dispatched to check the welfare of goats at US 77 and Wright Ave.

were requested to conduct a welfare check on persons living in the 11000 block of 114th.

were dispatched to check a 911 hang-up in the 30000 block of 141st Ln.

checked and assisted a pedestrian found walking in the 4000 block of US 160.

were dispatched to take a theft report in the 31900 block of 61st Rd.

located and checked an open door on storage buildings at the Winfield Country Club.

James G Swinney, Ark City, reported the loss of a license tag decal.

Rocky Andreae reported the loss of an aluminum flat bottom boat due to high water on the Walnut River from a location near Dunkard Mill Bridge.
