Cowley County Sheriff’s Report for July 28, 2010

Deputies:

were dispatched to a criminal trespass complaint at the H J Born Stone Company in Silverdale.

were dispatched to a criminal trespass complaint at Strother Field.

were dispatched to a report regarding the theft of brass valves from a drilling rig in the 1000 block of 262nd Rd.

were dispatched to a report of the theft of a pump jack motor and other items from an oil lease in the 25000 block of 15th Rd.

stopped a vehicle for erratic driving in the 20000 block of US 77 and subsequently arrested a Geuda Springs female for driving under the influence.

were requested to attempt contact with a family living in the 500 block of Lord Rd, Ark City, who had been unable to be contacted. It was determined that their phone was out of order and were fine.

were dispatched to the 6000 block of 82nd Rd regarding the theft of copper wire.

responded with the Emergency Medical Services to a medical call in the 32000 block of 91st Rd.

were requested to check a family member overdue to arrive at a residence in the 3000 block of 52nd Rd. The party arrived while deputies were en route to that location.

were dispatched to check a suspicious vehicle in the area of the 13000 block of 101st Rd. The vehicle was located and stopped at 132nd and 101st. The Wichita female driver was making vacuum cleaner service calls in the area. She was arrested for driving with a suspended license, no proof of insurance and an illegal tag.

were dispatched to check for a possible drunk driver northbound on US 77 from 242nd Rd. The vehicle was located and the driver was determined not to be intoxicated.

transported a prisoner to the county jail for the Ark City Police Department.

were requested for the Ark City Police officers to attempt to locate the suspect in a battery case being investigated by that agency. Deputies checked a Dexter residence and ultimately located and arrested the suspect who was hiding inside the house. The suspect was arrested for battery, obstructing legal process, disorderly conduct and on an Ark City municipal warrant for failure to appear. A female at the residence was arrested for obstructing legal process for helping to hide the suspect.

responded with Ark City Emergency Medical Services to a medical call in the 25000 block of 61st Rd.

were dispatched to a prowler call in the 31000 block of 55th Ln.
