AUGUST 6

Deputies:

were dispatched to a burglary report at Whitaker Aggregates in the 34000 block of 162nd Rd.

arrested Anthony Fisher, Ark City, on a failure to appear warrant.

assisted Winfield, Police officers in attempting to locate a person to be interviewed at a residence in the 21000 block of Hoover.

were dispatched to take a theft report in the 13000 block of 196th Rd.

were dispatched to check for juveniles riding dirt bikes across the highway in the 4000 block of US 166.

were called to the county jail to administer a breath test to an inmate who was surrendering himself to serve a 48-hour sentence as part of his probation, but who was prohibited from consuming alcoholic beverages as part of that probation. The test was positive for alcohol.

were dispatched to the Winfield Emergency Room and county jail in regard to an inmate who had been battered by another inmate.

were dispatched to Atlanta to check for juveniles who were reported climbing on Co-Op buildings.

discovered several head of cattle on the roadway in the 4000 block of 21st Rd.

discovered and checked a vehicle sitting partially on the roadway in the 22000 block of 71st Rd.

AUGUST 7

Deputies:

were dispatched to check a report of several persons driving in and around the Springside Cemetery.

checked two persons fishing on the Arkansas River at 312th Rd. James Fredrick Leonard, Newkirk, was arrested on a felony warrant from Missoure and Brian Glen Winters, Ark City, was arrested on a probation violation warrant and an Ark City municipal court warrant for failure to appear.

were dispatched to the report of a one car minor injury accident at 92nd Rd and 131st Rd.

were dispatched to a non-injury car/deer accident south of 132nd Rd on US 77.

assisted with traffic control at US 77 and 252nd Rd, US 77 and N Summit and the Roundabout at US 77 and US 166 for Sheehan Pipeline Co as they moved large equipment from the north side of the Arkansas River to the south side of the Arkansas River.

were contacted by an Ark City resident regarding a telephone harassment complaint involving an out of state relative.

were dispatched to a theft report from an oil lease in the 2900 block of US 166.

were dispatched to check a third party report of a hit and run accident in the 33200 block of US 77; however, neither vehicle was found and no one called to report any such accident.

were dispatched to check a 911 hang-up in the 32000 block of 111th Rd.

were dispatched to a residential alarm in the 18000 block of 232nd Rd.

were stopped by a person at 212th Rd and 151st Rd and asked to check a suspicious odor in the area.

were dispatched to 212th Rd at the Walnut River to a report regarding the theft of a 12-foot flat bottom boat.

were dispatched to conduct a welfare check on an individual living in the 6000 block of 304th Rd.

were requested to check the welfare of a dog in the 6000 block of 304th Rd.

transported a prisoner to the county jail for the Ark City Police Department.

were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 6000 block of 102nd Rd.

were dispatched to the report of two horses out along the roadway in the 16000 block of US 160.

were dispatched to check the report of several old tires thrown out along the road between the 7000 block of and 10000 block of 322nd Rd.

were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 9000 block of 85th Ct.

AUGUST 8

Deputies:

found an unlocked door at the Winfield Country Club.

were dispatched to check the report of a car in the ditch just north of Rock on US 77. Upon further investigation a Winfield resident was arrested for driving under the influence.

were dispatched to a juvenile problem in the 15000 block of 103rd Rd.

were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 6000 block of 102nd Rd. An 18-year-old male was arrested for domestic battery and a 51-year-old male was arrested for assault.

discovered cattle out in the 2000 block of 202nd Rd.

were dispatched to check a suspicious vehicle in the 24000 block of 31st Rd.

were dispatched to check for a bucket sitting in the northbound lanes of the South Summit Bridge at Ark City.

stopped a semi-truck carrying a load of big round bales of hay on which the load had shifted. The stop was made in the 400 block of Main in Winfield, and a tractor was ultimately brought to the scene to assist in repositioning the load prior to the truck continuing.

were dispatched to the 16000 block of 61st Rd to check for a train blocking the crossing.

were dispatched to an anhydrous ammonia leak at the Mulvane Co-Op in Rock.

Following a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Main in Winfield, a male Winfield resident was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

After being stopped by deputies for a traffic violation in the 1800 block of S Summit, Ark City, Shawn P McNickle was arrested on a warrant from Lyon County, KS.
