AUGUST 27

Deputies:

were dispatched to a theft report in the 3000 block of 51st Rd.

took a criminal deprivation of property report in the 6000 block of 306th Rd.

received information regarding a repeatedly reckless driver in the area of the 7000 block of 322nd Rd.

took a report regarding suspected fraudulent activity against a resident living east of Winfield.

responded with the Udall Fire Department and the Winfield Fire Department to a grass fire in the 11000 block of 62nd Rd.

were dispatched to a miscellaneous juvenile problem in the 11000 block of 116th Rd.

were dispatched to an unattended death in the 6000 block of 304th Rd.

were called to the Winfield Police Department to take a report of a minor battery that had occurred in the parking lot of the movie theater.

responded to a call reporting that a train northbound from Ark City had smoke coming from a tank car. The train was stopped between 202nd and 212th Rds and a tank car routinely releasing pressure was found.

were dispatched to check suspicious activity in the 19000 block of 131st Rd and in the 4000 block of 294th Rd..

were dispatched to check for a disabled truck and boat trailer in the 4000 block of US 77.

assisted Kansas Highway Patrol troopers with a traffic stop and arrest in the 20900 block of 61st Rd.

were dispatched to the 5000 block of 231st Rd regarding a juvenile problem.

were dispatched to check for a reckless driver in the 11000 block of 322nd Rd.

arrested Ronald Gene Graham, Ark City, on a failure to appear warrant.

were dispatched to a residential alarm in the 1000 block of First Rd.

assisted the Drug Task Force with the execution of a search warrant in Winfield.

were dispatched to Strother Field for a non-injury car/deer accident.

assisted Winfield Police officers with an intoxicated pedestrian in the 2100 block of Pike Rd. A Ponca City woman was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct.

AUGUST 28

Deputies:

were requested to check the pipeline construction work area off the 2900 block of US 166 for a worker that was late getting home.

were dispatched to check for prowlers at a residence in the 31000 block of 61st Rd.

transported two prisoners to the county jail for the Ark City Police Department.

took a report of a dog bite in the 22000 block of 85th Rd.

were dispatched to a one car non-injury accident in the 5000 block of 302nd Rd.

discovered and removed debris from the roadway in the 900 block of W Ninth in Winfield.

were dispatched to take a domestic harassment complaint in the 32000 block of 61st Rd.

assisted Winfield Police officers check for intruders in an unoccupied dwelling in the 2800 block of E 12th.

Following a traffic stop at 306th and 53rd Rds, an Ark City man was arrested by deputies for minor in consumption.

AUGUST 29

Deputies:

stopped a vehicle for numerous traffic violations in the 24200 block of US 77. They subsequently arrested a Winfield resident for driving under the influence.

were dispatched to the 5100 block of 92nd Rd to check for suspected underage drinkers in the area.

were dispatched to check for a possible drunk driver last seen in the 12000 block of US 77.

transported a prisoner to the county jail for the Ark City Police Department.

were requested to assist a family member with a welfare check in the 22000 block of 71st Rd. The resident was located, found to be ill and transported to the emergency room by a family member.

responded with the Ark City Emergency Medical Services to a medical call in the 19000 block of 292nd Rd.

assisted a motorist having vehicle problems just north of US 166 on 141st Rd.

were dispatched to the report of a vehicle blocking a lane of traffic in the 13000 block of US 160.

were dispatched to check suspicious activity in the 19000 block of 291st Rd.

assisted Ark City Police officers, who were busy on other calls, check for a possible drunk driver on N Summit. The vehicle was located and the driver was determined not to be intoxicated, but was issued several traffic citations.

checked a vehicle sitting in the ditch in the 24800 block of US 77.

arrested Tamatha L Mills, Ark City, on a warrant for contributing to a child’s misconduct.

were dispatched to a report of a cow out in the road in the 9000 block of 212th Rd.

Following a traffic stop in the 300 block of E Eighth, Winfield, the driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license and on a Winfield Municipal Court warrant.

During a traffic stop in the 20000 block of 71st Rd, a deputy detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After further investigation a rural Udall resident was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on an expired driver’s license.

AUGUST 30

Deputies:

were dispatched to the 600 block of Seventh in Atlanta for a car/deer accident report. The vehicle was in Augusta and an accident report was to be filed.

arrested Vincent Dean Weber, Ark City, on a probation violation warrant.

arrested Jade Nichel Coble, Ark City, on a failure to appear warrant.

were dispatched to the 29000 block of 21st Rd for a complaint of trucks speeding in the area and running stop signs.

were dispatched to the 600 block of Locust in Atlanta for a report of harassment by phone.

were dispatched to the 7000 block of 82nd Rd for a report of burglary and theft. The items stolen were two Play Stations.

were dispatched to the 10000 block of US 77 for a motorist assist. The driver and her child were given a ride to K-15 and Rock Rd where they were picked up by the driver’s father.

Ark City Police assisted a deputy in retrieving a vehicle that was the subject of a criminal deprivation of property report in the the 1000 block of N Summit.

AUGUST 31

Deputies:

were dispatched to the 18000 block of County Club Rd for a horse in the roadway. Before arrival, the dispatcher called back and said the owner of the horse was getting it back in the pen.

took a lost/destroyed tag report from a Winfield resident.

took a report from a southeast Cowley County resident regarding a complaint that a township spraying project had killed trees and grass on their property.

were dispatched to the Lakewynds Addition on US 166 to check a suspicious vehicle.

transported two prisoners to the county jail for the Ark City Police Department.

were dispatched to check a disabled vehicle in the 14000 block of US 77.

were dispatched to check a motorist possible needing assistance in the 1000 block of K-15.

were dispatched to Rock to discuss a neighborhood issue.

were contacted regarding a sexual assault case involving juveniles that had reportedly occurred at a residence in rural Winfield.
