SEPT 15
Deputies:
were contacted regarding a civil dispute in the 9000 block of 132nd Rd.
were dispatched to check an open door on a residence in the 6000 block of 251st Rd.
transported a prisoner to the county jail for the Ark City Police Department.
spent several hours checking reports of utility lines and trees blown down and blocking roads. Also, damages to residences and buildings caused by the storm that blew through the county.
arrested Jessy James Dewitt, rural Ark City, on a probation warrant.
were dispatched to check a disabled motorist in the 3000 block of 322nd Rd.
SEPT 16
Deputies:
transported a juvenile intake for the Ark City Police Department.
were called to the 15000 block of 232nd Rd to assist a disabled resident who was having difficulties due to the power outage caused by the storm.
were dispatched to a burglary and theft report at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
assisted a Kansas Veteran’s employee with storm damage related to her vehicle.
were dispatched to check a 911 hang-up call in the 34000 block of 292nd Rd.
took a lost tag report from a rural Ark City resident.
transported two prisoners to the county jail for the Ark City Police Department.
were dispatched to a two vehicle non-injury accident at the intersection of 121st and 152nd Rds.
were dispatched to a possible prowler report in the 29000 block of Eastridge Dr.
arrested Carlos Dieguez, Ark City, on a failure to appear warrant. His girlfriend was also arrested for obstruction of legal process for lying to the deputies and attempting to hide him from being arrested.
SEPT 17
Deputies:
received a phone call from the 29000 block in regards to reported suspicious activity the night before in the same neighborhood.
were dispatched to the 17000 block of 212th Rd for a report regarding credit card fraud.
were dispatched to the 6000 block of First Rd for a lost vehicle license plate report.
were dispatched to the 2000 block of TP Hales Rd for a 911 hang-up call. It was determined that the juvenile had dialed the wrong number trying to call his girlfriend.
were dispatched top a motorist assist in the 7000 block of 151st Rd.
transported two prisoners to the county jail for the Ark City Police Department.
were dispatched to the trailer park on 55th Dr for a report of loud music being played.
were dispatched to the 21000 block of US 77 for a report of a couch in the middle of the roadway. No couch was found.
conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of E Washington after the deputy recognized a subject in the vehicle and knew there was a warrant for his arrest. The driver had been a passenger when first spotted. Robby Joe Sherman was arrested on a warrant for misdemeanor theft and criminal trespass. He was transported to the county jail. Richard Franklin Weeks, Ark City, was arrested fro driving on a suspended license.
arrested Justin Wayne Burgell, Burden, in the 500 block of N Michigan on a warrant for misdemeano theft and criminal trespass.
were dispatched to the 18000 block of 101st Rd for a reported juvenile party in progress along side the road.
SEPT 18
Deputies:
transported five prisoners to the county jail for the Ark City Police Department.
were dispatched to the 32000 block of 61st Rd for a report of reckless driving.
were dispatched to the 9000 block of 146th Rd for a report of a disturbance between neighbors.
assisted Ark City Police Department with an incident they were investigating in the 2000 block of N Summit.
were dispatched to the 25000 block of US 77 for a motorist assist.
were dispatched to the 18000 block of US 160 for a miscellaneous report concerning found property in the roadway. The owner was contacted and the items returned to them.
assisted the Ark City Police Department by taking a call for them in the 700 block of N Summit. The call was in regards to one juvenile threatening another seven-year-old juvenile.
were dispatched to the Parkerfield area on E Birch in reference to a miscellaneous animal report regarding dogs running at large.
were dispatched to the 8000 block of 82nd Rd for a report of a vehicle in the roadway with a subject lying on the steering wheel. Upon arrival and further investigation, Travis Wayne Metzinger, Dexter, was arrested for driving under the influence.
were dispatched to the 33000 block of Tower Rd for a report of a suspicious vehicle that had been in the area.
SEPT 19
Deputies:
conducted a traffic stop in the 2000 block of N Summit for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation, Deborah Lynn Long, Ark City, was arrested for driving on a suspended driver’s license.
were dispatched to the 8000 block of 111th Rd for a vehicle check. Two subjects were located at the location. The vehicle had mechanical problems. They were given a ride back to Winfield.
were dispatched to the 17000 block of 151st Rd for a reported one vehicle roll-over accident.
transported three prisoners to the county jail for the Ark City Police Department.
were dispatched to the 27000 block of 101st Rd for a report of suspicious activity involving comments made on an internet chat line.
were dispatched to the area near the intersection of 71st Rd and US 77 for a vehicle in the ditch. It did not appear to have been an accident and was secure.
were dispatched to the 25000 block of 61st Rd in regards to recovering some property that had been left at the residence by a third party.
were dispatched to the 13000 block of 132nd Rd for a report of two juveniles in the roadway. Deputies found that it was a mother and her son picking up aluminum cans in the ditch.
were dispatched to the 16000 block of 61st Rd for a report of a recreational vehicle on the roadway.
were dispatched to the 21000 block of US 160 for a theft report.
were dispatched to the 3000 block of N 23rd for a report of a verbal domestic disturbance.
answered some questions by a subject who lives in the Pleasant Valley area in regards to child custody, visitation and problems during the exchange for visitation.
were dispatched to the 31000 block of US 77 for a report of debris in the roadway.
were dispatched to the 3000 block of 21st Rd for a report of suspicious noises coming from a construction site.
were dispatched to the 25000 block of 31st Rd for a motorist assist.
were dispatched to the 4000 block of US 160 for a motorist assist with a flat tire.
