Ark City woman is killed in crash on Iowa road

(Editor’s note: Every now and then I scan Google News for stories containing the words Arkansas City, Winfield and Cowley County. This week I found this report. This story is a couple weeks old but I thought I’d pass along the information anyway because I hadn’t seen it reported locally anywhere.)

An Arkansas City woman was killed in a motor vehicle accident in Fremont County, Iowa on Oct. 9, according to a report from the Omaha World-Herald.
Shelly Lynn Hall, 44, was ejected from a truck when it rolled over and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident occurred around 8:50 a.m. on U.S. Highway 59 near Imogene.

Brian G. Chicoine, 41, of Glenwood, Iowa, was driving a 1998 Mazda truck south on the highway when he lost control on a curve. The truck, in which Hall was a passenger, flipped several times.
