Deputies:

were dispatched to a three vehicle injury accident at US 77 and N Summit.

arrested Philip Eugene Schuessler, Winfield, on a failure to appear warrant.

were dispatched to a two vehicle non-injury accident in the 31000 block of US 77.

arrested Dennis George Traub,, Ark City, on a probation violation warrant.

were dispatched to a family disturbance involving a juvenile south of Winfield on 101st Rd. a 14-year-old juvenile was subsequently taken into juvenile custody.

were dispatched to the Eastridge area east of Ark City regarding a problem with juveniles riding ATVs on private property without permission.

were dispatched to the 16000 block of 111th Rd. regarding a possible sick raccoon.

were dispatched to the Ark city Police Department to speak with a county resident regarding the receipt of a suspicious letter.

discovered an open door to an unoccupied residence while attempting to serve a civil paper in the 1100 block of South second, Ark city. The residence was checked with the assistance of the Ark City Police Department and was found to be all right.

were dispatched to check a suspicious vehicle abandoned on private property in the 4000 block of 172nd Rd.

transported a prisoner to the county jail for the Ark City Police Department.

discovered a large amount of trash in the roadway in the 7000 block of US 160. The owner of the trash was identified, notified and picked it up.

were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 14000 block of 21st Rd.

JAN 4

Deputies:

were dispatched to check a vehicle for possible tampering in the 4100 block of US 160. Everything was found to be fine.

were dispatched to take the criminal damage report in the 14000 block of 21st Rd.

and Winfield police officers assisted a funeral procession from the First Methodist Church in Winfield to US 77 and 132nd Rd.

were dispatched to check for a truck and trailer being operated erratically northbound on 211th Rd. from Burden.

were dispatched to this 6000 block of 314th Dr. to check for possible evidence of poaching.

were dispatched to the 3000 block of 151st Rd. to check a person slumped over in a vehicle. A tired driver had just stopped to rest.

were dispatched to a residential alarm in the 8000 block of 21st Rd.

were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in Dexter. A 40-year-old female was subsequently arrested for domestic battery.

arrested Natalea Jane Archer, Ark City, on a failure to appear warrant.

assisted an out of gas motorist in the 400 block of East Madison, Ark City.

were dispatched to check for a cow on the road in the 10000 block of 212 Road.

drove up on, and investigated, a car/dear accident in the 27000 block of US 77.

responded with Winfield Emergency Medical Services to a medical call in the 16000 block of US 160.

assisted Ark City police officers, who were all busy on other calls, by checking for a suspicious person looking into cars in the 800 block of North Summit.

A landowner in the vicinity of US 77 and 81st Rd. reported having found a white calf. Anyone with information regarding a possible owner is requested to contact the Sheriff’s Office.

JAN 5

Deputies:

transported a prisoner to the county jail for the Ark City Police Department.

arrested Fernando Rodriguez, Ark City, on a failure to appear warrant.

were called to the Ark City Police Department to take an identity theft report from the county resident.

responded with the Ark City Fire Department to a grass fire in the 2900 block of East Pine, Parkerfield. It was determined the fire originated from a faulty extension cord powering Christmas lights.

were dispatched to take a report regarding the theft of wheels from B& L Salvage Service, 15469 US 77.

received information regarding a Kiefer Built 7 x 16′ aluminum bumper hitch stock trailer that had been stolen just south of Derby in Sedgwick County, but was thought possibly to have been brought to Cowley County.

checked an abandoned vehicle with a flat tire in the 7100 block of US 160.

checked and assisted a motorist whose vehicle had run out of gas in the 6000 block of 151st Rd.

arrested Eveda Potter, Wichita, at the Ark City District Court on the Cowley County theft warrant.

were dispatched with Ark City Emergency Medical Services to an unattended death in the 29000 block of 41st Rd.

were dispatched to William Newton Hospital, Winfield, on the battery complaint involving a juvenile.

were dispatched to the area east of 101st Road off 226th Rd. to look for a motorist who had reportedly gotten lost and stuck. The motorist was found stuck at the end of an oilfield access road. He was checked and assisted out’

were dispatched to the 14000 block of 121st Rd. to check for someone spotlighting in the area.

Udall police officers forwarded information regarding a suspicious vehicle observed in the Udall area.
