JAN 12

Deputies:

were dispatched to take a report regarding a one vehicle non-injury accident that had occurred earlier that morning in the 600 block of Seventh Rd

checked an out of gas motorist in the 22000 block of US 77.

transported a prisoner, arrested by the Ark City Police Department on Derby Police Department charges, to Udall to meet with the Derby Police Department officer.

checked the welfare of dogs at a resident in the 20000 block of 42nd Rd.

were dispatched to the 21000 block of 11th Rd. to meet with the resident who had slid off a nearby road and damaged their car. It was determined the accident had actually occurred in Sumner County and the Sumner County Sheriff’s office was contacted for their accident report.

were dispatched with the Winfield Fire Department to a car on fire in the 9000 block of 92nd Rd.

took a funeral escort from the Tisdale United Methodist Church to Highland Cemetery.

were contacted by an out-of-state person complaining of telephone harassment originating from an IXL area resident.

arrested Brent Shaw, Ark City, on a failure to appear warrant.

were requested to check the welfare of horses in the 24000 block of US 77.

transported a prisoner to the County jail for the Ark City Police Department.

contacted a Udall area resident in an attempt to locate a runaway juvenile from northern Kansas.

were dispatched to check for a loose horse in the 12000 block of US 160.

were contacted regarding a juvenile problem in the Geuda Springs area.

were contacted regarding a person who had reportedly threatened harm to themselves. The person was located, evaluated by mental health professionals, and allowed to return home.

were dispatched to check and assisted a disabled motorist in the 4000 block of K – 15 Highway.

JAN 13

with the assistance of Winfield Police Department Humane officer, seized two adult dogs and 10 puppies from an unoccupied residence west of Atlanta and placed them in the Cowley County Humane Society.

were dispatched to the report of a black horse out along the highway in the 13100 block of US 160.

were contacted regarding a dog previously reported missing from Atlanta.

were dispatched to check an abandoned car on the roadway at Wright Ave and Byrd in IXL.

transported three prisoners to the county jail for the Ark City Police Department.

were dispatched to check for an injured deer in the 10000 block of 211th Rd.

arrested Latosha Mason, Ark City, on a failure to appear warrant.

were dispatched to residential alarms in the 7000 block of 202nd Rd. and on River Creek Rd.

The K-9 deputy and his you K-9 were requested to assist the Winfield Police Department with a traffic stop in the 1300 block of main.
