Cowley County Sheriff’s Reports for March 4 – 6, 2011
MAR 4
Cowley County Sheriff’s deputies, investigators, and members of the Cowley County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in the 16000 block of 11th Rd. Stolen property from a previous burglary was recovered as well as a small amount of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug use paraphernalia. Two subjects were arrested and booked into the Cowley County jail. Christopher Selenki, Winfield, was booked on the following charges; possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug use paraphernalia, burglary, theft, criminal damage to property and endangering a child. He was also booked on a probation violation. Tosha Brooks, Winfield, was booked on possession of stolen property.
Deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of 192nd Rd. for report of debris on or near the roadway.
Deputies arrested Shane Rhodes, Winfield, on a Cowley County District Court warrant for burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property.
Deputies were dispatched to the 26000 block of 41st Rd. and to the 1000 block of 11th Rd. for reports of cattle on the roadway.
Andreas Vandergriff, Cedar Vale, was arrested for speeding and driving on a suspended license.
Deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of North Eighth where an Ark City Police officer and three subjects detained. One of the subjects, a juvenile, had three probation violation warrant outstanding. The juvenile was also charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug use paraphernalia and minor in consumption. He was taken to the juvenile intake.
MAR 5
Deputies were dispatched to the area north of Strother Field for a reckless driver. The vehicle was located in the 1800 block of South Main. The driver, Lee Bryant, Wichita, was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
While delivering the message to the 1000 block of Main, two juveniles were issued citations for minors in consumption.
Deputies were dispatched to the 21000 block of US 77 for reported traffic accident involving a fatality. Ark City and Winfield Fire and him Emergency Medical Services were also dispatched to the scene. Kansas Highway Patrol assisted in the investigation.
Philip Mar, Jr, Ark City, was arrested on a charge of domestic battery in the 7000 block of 314th Ln.
Deputies were dispatched to the 14000 block of US 166 to assist a motorist who had run out of gas.
Deputies arrested William Gregory Ross, Winfield, in the 2000 block of West Ninth on a Cowley County District Court warrant for criminal damage to property.
Deputies transported a prisoner to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.
Deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of 31st Rd. for a miscellaneous animal report involving dogs.
Deputies were dispatched to the Cowley County jail for a miscellaneous report involving possible contraband brought into a correctional facility.
Deputies were dispatched to the 10000 block of 132nd Rd. for report of debris in the roadway.
Deputies were dispatched to the 16000 block of K – 15 for a traffic accident involving a fatality.
Deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of Second Rd and to the 17000 block of Sunset Strip for a report of a reckless drivers.
Deputies received a report of a vehicle with mechanical problems located in the 3500 block of North Summit.
MAR 6
Deputies transported a prisoner to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.
Deputies were dispatched to the 11000 block of US 77 for report of a reckless driver.
Deputies were dispatched to the 10000 block of US 166 for a miscellaneous animal report involving a stray dog. The dog was returned to its owner.
Deputies were dispatched to the 13000 block of 304th Rd. in regards to some found property involving road signs from Kay County Oklahoma.
Deputies were dispatched to the area near the intersection of 182nd and 21st Rd. for a report of a reckless driver.
Deputies were dispatched to the 22000 block of 12th Rd. for a suspicious vehicle in the area.
Deputies were dispatched to the 21000 block of 11th Rd. for a civil issue regarding the contract sale of a motor vehicle.
Deputies were dispatched to the 26000 block of US 77 for report of a minor injury accident.
Clinton Christopher Kilmer was arrested on a Cowley County District Court warrant for probation violation in the 300 block of East Seventh.
