Tommy returns: Aussie guitarist back at WVF

Australian guitarist Tommy Emmanuel will make his return to Winfield’s Walnut Valley Festival after a four-year absence, festival organizers have announced.

Emmanuel is one of a number of old favorites scheduled to return for the festival’s 40th anniversary show which will run from Sept. 14 to Sept. 18. Since his first appearance in 2000, Emmanuel has been a main draw for the festival in each of his appearances.

This will be Emmanuel’s eighth time in Winfield.

Emmanuel joins The Wilders, Hot Club of Cowtown, The David Munnelly Band and many other familiar performers that are returning for the festival’s landmark year.

Country and bluegrass performer Michael Martin Murphey is also scheduled to appear.
