Cowley County Sheriff’s Report for April 12, 2011

Deputies transported five prisoners to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.

Deputies were dispatched to the 4000 block of 11th Rd for a complaint of dogs chasing livestock.

Deputies were dispatched to the 10000 block of 141st Rd for a residential alarm.

Deputies were dispatched to a miscellaneous dog problem in the 27000 block of 81st Rd.

Deputies checked an out of gas motorist who was waiting for a friend to bring more gasoline in the 23200 block of US 77.

Deputies checked a juvenile walking in the 8100 block of US 166. He was determined to have gotten into an argument at home and was walking to cool off. He was taken home to Ark City.

Deputies took a lost license tag decal report from an Ark City resident.

Deputies were dispatched to the report of a goat on the roadway in the 9100 block of 292nd Rd.

Deputies arrested Patsy Lolar, Ark City, on a failure to appear warrant.

Deputies were dispatched to the 17000 block of 11th Rd in response to a report relayed from a resident of Fresno, CA, who had received a telephone call from a three-year-old child at that address who was reportedly home alone. Investigation determined the call had actually come from Winfield and had been made by a child playing with a cell phone and who was not alone, but was just playing.

Deputies removed debris from the roadway that was discovered on N Summit in front of Wal-Mart in Ark City.

Deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of US 160 to check for a juvenile walking along the highway that matched the description of a child missing from Sumner County. No one was found, and the missing juvenile was shortly thereafter found in Sumner County by the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies checked a pedestrian walking southbound on US 77 near 33rd St. south of Winfield. The pedestrian was trying to get to Ark City and was given a ride to that location.
