Russell S. Sparks, 93, of Oxford, formerly of Arkansas City, Kan., died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at his daughter’s home in Oxford.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the First Assembly of God Church in Arkansas City, KS. Burial will be held at the Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City. Visitation will be held Monday, April 18 from 9:00 until 8:00 P.M. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 until 8:00 at Hawks-Shelley Funeral Home of Arkansas City, KS. A memorial has been established with the Primitive Baptist Church building fund and may be left with Hawks-Shelley Funeral Home & Crematory 906 W. Kansas, PO Box 1, Arkansas City, KS 67005.
