The death of a man near Cambridge early Monday morning has been ruled a suicide, law enforcement officials said.
Around 2 a.m., Cowley County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report that a man, 32, was distraught and possibly thinking of taking his own life. The man’s name has not been made public.
Officers later found the man, dead from a gunshot wound, at his residence in the Cambridge area.
A brief investigation took place to rule out foul play in the incident, undersheriff Bill Mueller said.
