Cowley County Sheriff Report for April 25, 2011
Deputies were dispatched to the 27000 block of 181st Rd. to check for a suspicious person in the area.
Deputies transported three prisoners to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.
Deputies assisted Kansas Highway Patrol troopers with the investigation of a one car minor injury accident in the 8400 block of 322nd Rd.
Deputies assisted Ark City Police officers with the apprehension of a suspect in a burglary/theft reported in the 1200 block of South K.
Deputies were dispatched for a report of a cow out on the highway in the 27000 block of US 166.
Deputies were advised of several Hereford heifers that had been found in the area of approximately 7 miles north and 1 miles east of Winfield. Anyone missing or knowing who might be missing those heifers is requested to contact the Sheriff’s Office. (221-5444 or 442-4555)
Deputies assisted Burden Police officers with a child custody issue in Burden.
The K-9 deputy and his dog assisted the Drug Task Force officers with a search at a residence in Winfield.
Deputies assisted Ark City Police officers check the building on which an open door was found in the 600 block of North Sixth.
