Deputies took a report of the theft of a handgun from a residence in the 30000 block of 292nd Rd.

Deputies checked and assisted a pedestrian walking in the 1000 block of North 14th, Ark City.

Deputies were contacted regarding a child custody issue by a rural Winfield resident.

Deputies responded to an intrusion alarm at a Strother Field business.

Deputies were dispatched to the report of a calf out in the 11000 block of US 77.

Deputies transported two prisoners to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.

Deputies checked a male observed setting in the ditch in the 9000 block of 21st Rd. It was found to be a bicyclist from Udall who was having mechanical problems and was assisted by the deputy.

Deputies arrested Kyle Nelson, Ark City, on a warrant for aggravated battery.

Deputies arrested Salvador Venegas, Ark City, on a state parole violation warrant.

Deputies were dispatched to multiple report of several head of cows walking on the road in the 13000 block of US 160.

Deputies arrested James Cameron, Ark City, on a warrant for domestic battery, battery, and theft.

Deputies were dispatched to the report of a one car accident in the 12000 block of 212th Rd. a Dexter resident was subsequently cited for failing to report an accident in connection with that incident.

Deputies were dispatched to the 31000 block of 55th Ln. on a report of a neighbor taking the reporting person’s dog.

Deputies were dispatched to the report of a possible explosion being heard in the 6700 block of Maitland Avenue. Nothing was found.

Following a traffic stop for speeding in the 900 block of Skyline Road, deputies arrested Alicia Siewert, Wichita, on a Manhattan municipal court warrant for failure to appear.

Deputies checked a disabled motorist in the 20000 block of US 77.

Deputies assisted Ark City Police officers in dealing with the cattle from a cattle truck accident being investigated by Ark City Police officers at the roundabout at the US 77/US 166 junction.
