MAY 6

Deputies were dispatched to a report of cattle out in the 24000 block of 141st Rd.

Deputies took a telephone harassment complaint from a rural Winfield resident.

Deputies were dispatched with the Winfield Fire Department to a report of burning being done without permission of the landowner on property in the 10000 block of 132nd Rd.

Deputies were dispatched to a report of vehicles racing in the 19000 block of 85th Rd.

Deputies were dispatched to check a reported reckless driver southbound on K-15 from the Udall area. The vehicle was located and checked in the 14200 block of US 77.

Deputies assisted a funeral procession traveling from the Millington Street Baptist Church in Winfield to the Star Valley Cemetery near Rock.

Deputies responded with Ark City Emergency Medical Services to a medical call in the 29000 block of 91st Rd.

Deputies were dispatched to a one vehicle accident that had previously occurred in the 15000 block of US 160.

A deputy discovered and put up a cow that was out in the 25000 block of K-15.

Deputies transported a prisoner to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.

Deputies were dispatched to a car/deer accident in the 16000 block of US 77.

Deputies assisted Kansas Highway Patrol troupers with a traffic stop and driving under the influence teasting in the 1900 block of Main, Winfield. A female from Welch, OK, was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence, transporting an open container and endangering a child.

Deputies were dispatched to a two vehicle minor injury hit and run accident in the 31000 block of 61st Rd.

MAY 7

Deputies assisted Ark City Police officers in attempting to contact the parents of a juvenile in custody who lived in the county.

Deputies were dispatched to check a report of sheep out near 21st and 91st Rds.

Deputies were dispatched to check a report of a chair lying on the highway at US 160 and 61st Rd.

Deputies were dispatched to a criminal damage to property report in the 7000 block of Second Rd.

Deputies were dispatched to check a reported reckless driver northbound on US 77 at 61st Rd just south of Ark City.

Deputies were dispatched to check a 911 hang-up call in the 2000 block of 158th Rd.

Deputies were dispatched to check a report of cattle out in the 26000 block of US 166.

Deputies checked for a possible disturbance in the Willow Creek Trailer park on 252nd Rd, but no problem was found.

Deputies responded with the Ark City Fire Department to a grass fire reportedly caused by a malfunctioning electrical transformer in the 14200 block of US 166.

Deputies were dispatched to an illegal dumping complaint in the 2000 block of 312th Rd.

Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance in the 30500 block of 91st Rd. A 50-year-old male was subsequently arreste4d for criminal threat and driving under the influence.

Deputies were dispatched to check a report of someone shooting around the Knebler Pond area in the 8000 block of US 166.

Deputies were dispatched to check for a possible drunk driver stopped at US 166 and 21st Rd. A deputy was at that intersection at the time the call was received and saw no one in that area. Further checking of the area likewise failed to locate anyone.

Deputies met an Oxford Police officer to pick up Shelly Renae Wilson, Winfield, who that department had arrested for Cowley County on two failure to appear warrants and transported her to the Cowley County jail.

A deputy observed a man walking on 141st Rd near the Winfield City Lake. The man was checked and given a ride home to Wilmot.

Deputies were dispatched to a car/deer accident at 23200 block of US 77.

Deputies were contacted by family members of a male who had reportedly left Oxford to travel to Ark City, but had never arrived and could not be contacted. An attempt to locate message was broadcast and he was ultimately located in Ponca City.

MAY 8

Deputies were dispatched to check a man walking around Campbell Trailer Court on 55th Dr. Ark City. The man was located, checked and given a ride to his home in Ark City.

Deputies discovered and checked a group of juveniles near the Arkansas River behind the Total Refinery. No alcohol was present or being consumed and there were no problems with the gathering.

Deputies transported three prisoners to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.

Deputies were dispatched to the report of a mailbox that had been damaged in the 1900 block of North 23rd, Ark City.

Deputies were contacted regarding a miscellaneous dog problem in the 6000 block of 22nd.

Deputies and Kansas Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to a one vehicle minor injury accident in the 13000 block of 21st.

Deputies were dispatched to the 31000 block of US 77 to meet with an Ark City resident regarding a car reported taken from Ark City and being handled by the Ark City Police Department.

Deputies arrested Samantha Swisher, rural Winfield, on a failure to appear warrant.

Deputies were dispatched to a report of damage to a mailbox in the 32000 block of 91st Rd.

Deputies were dispatched to check a report of a reckless driver southbound in the 23000 block of 31st Rd.
