Caught with pot: Pair arrested after AC search

Two people were arrested Monday evening when authorities searched a home in Ark City and turned up some weed.

Samuel Rocio Jr., 19, and Jonathan Martinez, 19, both of Ark City, are facing possession and paraphernalia charges. They were booked into the Cowley County Jail on $2,000 bond and have since been released.

Officers with the Cowley County Drug Task Force, Ark City Police and the police drug dog executed a search warrant at the home in the 1300 block of North D St. Weed and paraphernalia were said to have been found.

While searching the residence, a third subject arrived at the home. It was discovered that this person who was not 21 had been drinking. It was also found that he had driven to the house.

Juvenito Brendon Martinez, 19, was arrested for DUI, minor in consumption of alcohol, and transportation of an open alcoholic beverage. He was transported to the Cowley County Jail.
