JUNE 17

A disabled motorist was assisted in the 1000 block of US 77.

A motorcycle was reported traveling at a very high rate of speed eastbound on 132nd Rd. from 21st Rd..

A Burden resident was contacted regarding a civil property issue.

A motorist who had ran out of gas was assisted in the 23000 block of US 77.

A possible missing person from the Silverdale area was reported missing but was subsequently located visiting a friend in Oklahoma.

A prisoner was transported to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.

An alarm was checked in the 6000 block of 21st Rd.

Chastity Stark, Ark City, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

Deputies assisted the Cowley County Drug Task Force and Winfield Police officers with the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Winfield.

Yovani Hernandes-Villegas, Ark City, was arrested for driving with a suspended license, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 600 block of North Eighth.

JUNE 18

A possible drunk driver was checked northbound on US 77 from 132nd Rd.

Criminal damage to a tree in the Udall Pike School parking lot was checked by deputies.

A cow was out at the Maverick Arena in the IXL area South of Ark City.

A domestic disturbance was investigated in the 31000 block of 55th Place.

A car/deer accident was reported in the 18000 block of US 166.

Several vehicles parked at the north end of the Udall cemetery was checked by deputies.

JUNE 19

A car was reported in the ditch in the 8000 block of K-15. The driver was having vehicle problems and there was no damage.

An elderly male with Alzheimer’s was reported missing from his residence in the 7100 block of 248th Rd. deputies and Ark City Police officers searched the area and ultimately located the man near his residence, but it appeared he had been out in the weather for some time so one ambulance was called and transported him to the South Central Kansas Medical Center for observation.

Thomas Reeves, Udall, was arrested on a failure to pay and a failure to appear warrant.

Criminal damage to property report was taken in the 33000 block of 61st Rd.

A reckless driver route was reported driving northbound on US 77 from Winfield. The vehicle was located and stopped in the 6000 block of K-15 and the driver was cited for a passing violation.

An identity theft report was taken in the 6000 block of 100th Rd.

JUNE 20

Melinda Moore, Winfield, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

A theft report was taken in Dexter.

Stephen Jennings, Winfield, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

Laura Morfitt, Winfield, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

A lost license tag report was taken from a Winfield resident.

The theft of gasoline from a parked vehicle was reported in the 7000 block of 316th Court.

Brandon Conklin and Crystal Gump, both of rural Winfield, were arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

A criminal damage to a parked vehicle was reported in Burden.

A criminal theft report was taken in the 33000 block of 61st Rd.

A residential alarm was checked in the 6000 block of Harding.

A car/deer accident was reported in the 19000 block of 71st Rd.

Deputies were contacted by a landowner in the 7000 block of 231st Rd. advising he had some cattle get out during the storm that had just passed through the area, but he was then in the process of locating and corralling them.

A prisoner was transported to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.

A telephone harassment complaint was taken in the 27000 block of 121st Rd.
