Missouri-based RJS Organization Consultants will lead Cowley County’s search for a new county administrator to replace Leroy Alsup.
Commissioners agreed to a base fee of $9,500 to hire the company which is headed by consultant, Bob Saunders, a former city administrator and college instructor. The county is also responsible for the cost of advertising the position and travel or incidental expenses related to candidate interviews.
The process of recruiting a new administrator is expected to take six months or less.
Phil Jarvis is acting as county administrator in the interim.
RJS is located in Liberty, Mo. and beat out three other recruiting firms the county considered.
