UPDATE: 1 p.m. – Authorities are looking for Cody D. Walker, 24, in connection with the investigation into Thursday’s beating in Ark City.
Walker is a convicted felon who has done time in prison, according to Kansas Dept. of Corrections records.
The man injured in the incident remains in critical condition at a Wichita hospital. He is under intensive care for his injuries.
At the moment, it does not appear any weapons were involved in the altercation. The victim was reportedly hit and stomped.
A 31-year old man suffered serious injuries Thursday evening when he was the victim of assault in Ark City.
Around 8:15 p.m., police and emergency crews responded to the 1200 block of N. 10th. A subject was found there who had suffered head injuries.
At the scene, the man was reported to be in critical condition.
Ark City chief Sean Wallace declined to comment further on the man’s condition, or provide information about possible suspects, given that there is an active investigation into the incident.
