Cowley County Sheriff’s Report for July 7, 2011
A prisoner was transported to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.
A two vehicle non-injury accident occurred at US 77 and 82nd Rd.
A roadside disturbance occurred in the 14000 block of US 77.
A dog bite was reported at the Cowley County Humane Society.
Deputies and Winfield Police officers assisted the Winfield Fire Department with traffic control at the scene of a grass fire in the 300 block of Stacy Graham Rd.
Cattle were out in the 24000 block of 162nd Rd.
A miscellaneous property report was taken in the 4000 block of 272nd Rd.
A residential alarm was investigated in the 4000 block of K-15.
A reckless driver was reported westbound from Cambridge on US 160.
A motorist with a flat tire was assisted in the 17000 block of US 77.
Deputies were contacted by a rural Winfield resident regarding civil child custody issue.
A two vehicle noninjury accident occurred in the 3000 block of 306th Rd. The driver of one of the vehicles, Norman Nelson, Ark City, was arrested for driving under the influence.
A disturbance was reported in Udall.
Natalea Archer, Ark City, was arrested on a municipal court warrant for failure to appear.
A vehicle was stopped for a minor traffic violation in the 9000 block of 22nd Rd. The 18-year-old driver was cited for minor in consumption and transporting an open container.
A residential alarm was checked in the 7000 block of 41st Rd.
