Jonathan Dale Hughes – a man accused of driving his mother into rural Cowley County over the weekend and firing a handgun at her multiple times – has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Hughes, 23, is set to make his first appearance in a Winfield courtroom Thursday, at which time he’ll be formally charged.
He faces charges of aggravated assault, aggravated batter, criminal threat, criminal restraint, kidnapping and driving under the influence.
His bond has been set at $25,500.
Hughes was booked into jail Tuesday.
