Cowley County Sheriff’s Report for August 3, 2011

A bicycle was found in the 7000 block of 282nd Rd.

Railroad crossing arms were malfunctioning in the 8000 block of 31st Rd.

Robert Martin, Wichita, was arrested on a Pratt County Court warrant.

Ten head of cattle were reported missing in the 2000 block of 201st Rd. They were later located.

An unattended vehicle was checked in the 7000 block of 75th Rd.

Dogs were scattering trash in the 500 block of Williams Street in Rock.

Deputies investigated a report of threats being made to a resident over the phone in the 9000 block of 85th Court.

A child custody issue between two parties was investigated in the 3000 block of 21st Rd.

A dog killing chickens and ducks was reported in the 8000 block of 21st Rd.

A motorist was assisted in the 14000 block of US 77 and in the 1000 block of US 77..

A dog was reported eating prescription medication in the 6000 block of 322nd Rd.

The Ark City Police Department was assisted by deputies on a medical call in the 200 block of North First.

Deputies were dispatched to the Udall area for a call that was received by the dispatch of an unknown emergency. The deputy stayed in the area but no further contact or any calls were made after the first one was received.

Deputies were dispatched to the 28000 block of 71st Rd. for a mental health call. It was determined to have originated in Ark City and was turned over to that agency.

Alarms were checked in the 300 block of Skyline, the 16000 block of US 77 and the 13000 block of 131st Rd.

The roof of an out building and a downed power line was reported in the 6000 block of 172nd Rd.

Ark City Police Department was assisted by deputies on a mental health call in the 1200 block of South Summit.

A prisoner was transported to the Cowley County jail for the Ark City Police Department.

An ammonia leak was reported in the 100 block of Williams Street in Rock.
