So far, 35 applicants have expressed interest in becoming Cowley County’s next administrator. The county is taking applications through Sept. 5.
RJS Organization Consultants is leading the county’s effort to find a successor to administrator Leroy Alsup, who left earlier this summer to take a job in Oklahoma. Phil Jarvis is serving as interim administrator.
Jarvis said the county hopes to have a new administrator in place by the end of November.
A number of qualified people already have applied, according to an initial assessment from RJS.
“There are a number of applicants that look extremely promising,” Jarvis said.
