Major construction projects are expected to affect traffic flow in Ark City at various points over the next several weeks, city officials said.
Drivers are asked to make accommodations to avoid work in the following areas beginning next week:
Next Monday, construction on 15th St. is set to begin and should be completed by February. Work will begin with construction of a new waterline from Kansas Ave. to Radio Lane.
During that phase of work, traffic may be limited to one lane at times, however traffic flow will be maintained using flag men when necessary. There may be times when complete road closure and temporary detours are necessary.
On Sept. 1, Kansas Ave. west of the roundabout will close for about four weeks.
Drivers will still be able to access the Ark City Greenhouse and Frazee’s Flower Farm from the roundabout. Access to Ark Veterinary Associates and Kuhn Mechanical will be available from J Street.
