Cowley County Sheriff’s Report for September 1, 2011

Missing license tag reports were taken from an Ark City resident and a Winfield resident.

A cow was out in the area of 10000 block of 296th Rd.

Deputies responded with the Ark City Fire Department to a port fire in the 3000 block of East Birch, Parkerfield.

A domestic issue was checked in the 7000 block of 332nd Rd.

An identity theft was reported by a resident in the 6000 block of 52nd Rd.

A welfare check in a domestic related manner was done in the 21000 block of Hoover Avenue.

Cattle were out in the 14000 block of 212th Rd.

Deputies were dispatched to the report that a child had not returned home from school to a residence in the 11000 block of 292nd Rd. it was ultimately determined to be just the result of a miscommunication as to who was to pick up the child that day. The child was fine.

Jorge Noel Morales-Valerio, Wichita, was arrested for driving without a license.

Austin Andes, rural Winfield, was arrested for violation of a court order.

A domestic disturbance was reported in the 2000 block of 12th Rd. Michael Greenwell, rural Udall, was arrested by Derby Police officers for domestic battery at the request of Cowley County deputies who then transported Greenwell back to the Cowley County jail.

Deputies responded to check a reported underage drinking party in Burden. The residence was checked and no one was found to have been drinking alcoholic beverages.
